The event aims to inform the public about the status of the reintroduction of Atlantic salmon into the River Elbe and its tributaries and links various activities relating to the International Year of the Salmon.
The successes of reintroduction in the countries along the River Elbe will be presented and problems in recent years will be analysed. The event will be the "Kick-off" for the program "Salmo albis" of all countries on River Elbe, which will replace the previous program "Elbelachs 2000".
Die Veranstaltung dient der Information der Öffentlichkeit über den Stand der Wiedereinbürgerung des Atlantischen Lachses in die Elbe und ihren Zuflüssen.
Die Veranstaltung reiht sich in Internationale Veranstaltungen zum Internationalen Jahr des Lachses ein.
Die Erfolge der Wiederansiedlung in den Anrainerländern der Elbe werden dargestellt. Probleme der letzten Jahre werden analysiert.
Die Veranstaltung dient als "Startschuss" für das Programm "Salmo albis" der Elbanliegerländer, welches das Programm "Elbelachs 2000" ablösen soll.
